image from TV seriesThis Peabody Award-winning series provides an annual review of each year's significant foreign policy issues through a roundtable exchange of thoughts and opinions by former U.S. Secretaries of State, Defense, Education, Treasury, U.S. Ambassadors to the UN, and world leaders.

The videotapes in this series run 60 minutes and are available in 1/2-inch VHS-format for $18 each. Transcripts are available for $8 each unless otherwise noted. Special orders are available for other videotape formats. Each videotape was aired on PBS the year it was produced by the Southern Center.

The Dean Rusk Tapes
Never has there been such a tremendous video resource for understanding the triumphs and tribulations of a public servant. In historic interviews by veteran NBC newsman Edwin Newman, Rusk candidly discusses growing up in Georgia, his experiences in the State Department, and his views of the war in Vietnam, the Nuclear Age, and U.S.-Soviet relations through the Cold War. This is a comprehensive overview of United States foreign relations through the end of the Cold War. The thirteen tapes in this series are sold as a set for a regular price of $350, an academic price of $250, or $25 for individual tapes. Each tape in this series runs approximately 30 minutes.

The United Nations: Issues of Peace and Conflict
This five part videotape series starts with a brief explanation of how the UN is structured, its history and how it functions. It is followed by discussions between seven former U.S. ambassadors to the UN, moderated by Edwin Newman.
