The 2001 Summit on Europe presents a comprehensive review of issues confronting a new and emerging Europe. European issues in the 21st century are discussed with a panel from Poland, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and North America. Issues addressed in the panel include trans-Atlantic relations, challenges in expanding the European Union, the economy, Eastern Europe's transition from communism to democracy, nationalist extremism, immigration, and health and the environment.
