Photo of Membership Reception Southern Center for International Studies (SCIS), founded in 1962, is a nonpartisan, nonprofit educational institution based in Atlanta, Georgia. Its mission is to inform the American public of the international world, thus giving America a broader way of thinking about and viewing different nationalities and cultures.

To achieve its goals, SCIS organizes symposia, workshops, seminars and conferences around international events and issues. SCIS membership is available at individual and corporate levels.
