The Southern Center for International Studies (SCIS), founded in 1962, is a non-profit educational institution based in Atlanta, Georgia. The primary mission of SCIS is to internationalize the thinking of the American public. In accomplishing this mission, SCIS seeks to inform. It does not take political positions or attempt to influence policy. To support the Southern Center, become a member today.

New Educational Materials:
Cover of South Asia in Transition book Available NOW on our eStore! South Asia in Transition, one of the few publications of its kind to look at India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives and explores a wide range of issues facing the subcontinent today. Also includes a companion DVD with historic and current news footage to accompany the lessons presented in the book.

Special Program:
The Atlanta Council on International Relations (ACIR) presents a Lunch and Lecture on May 13 featuring SCIS Founder and President, Peter White, who will be offering Suggested Foreign Policy for the Next Administration.

Event will be held starting at 11:45 am at the Capital City Club, 7 Harris Street, NW, with complimentary valet parking off Harris Street.
